My special story:

Kira Taylor is a 18 year old Indie Singer-songwriter, performer, youtuber, Free2Luv youth advocate, Kindness U activist, No Bull ambassador, BUHero ambassador, Southerndoe Social Rep & Cystic Fibrosis warrior/advocate living her dream out in Florida! She is originally from Charleston, South Carolina but her and her family moved to FL when she was only 5 years old. She started singing at the young age of 9 years old in her school choir and started performing at events when she was only 12 years old. She has performed at more than 20 events. Some of her performance highlights include The Back to School Bash of 2014 at The Shops At Wiregrass where she opened up for Keegan Allen from Pretty Little Liars, The 2nd Annual No Bull Music Showcase in Ohio of 2014 where she performed along with Spencer Sutherland, Olivia Millerschin, and Liberty Deep Down, The Stingray Chevrolet tent at the Florida Strawberry Festival in 2015, The Child Model Magazine Summer Fashion Parade of 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia and being selected to open up for Florida’s Premier Country Band “Easy Posse” at the Lowry Park Bandshell  for the Friday Extra Concert Series which was her 1st Paid Gig.

She has been awarded 4 awards which 2 of them are dedicated to her hard work in community service that she got when she was only 12 years old, and the other 2 are for her being 1 of 2 talent search winners that were picked through hundreds to be selected to perform at the Child Model Magazine 2015 Summer Fashion Parade and for her Bad Day Contest video which is one of the top 16 video nominees for the Great American No Bull Challenge Teen Video Awards that she attended in CA and received the “Move It Award” for all the publicity for her video.

She has had about 20 interviews including T.V. interviews, blog articles, magazine articles, and radio interviews. She just recently was interviewed by Lissette Campos on ABC Action News Positively Tampa Bay about her video Bad Day Contest being in the top 16 for the No Bull Teen Video Awards and flying out to LA to attend the award ceremony. She was interviewed at the 2015 No Bull Teen Video Awards by Kennedy Zimet through AwesomenessTV and Yael.TV who is a host at AfterBuzzTV. Also, Her Real People Q and A article interview with Glitter Magazine can be seen in their 2015 Summer Edition with Olivia Holt on the cover. Additionally, has an online article blog about her in Lifescript by Kristyn Burtt (Correspondent for Dance Networks).

Even though she has Cystic Fibrosis which is a lung disease she does not let that get her down and stop her from reaching her dreams. She actually uses music as her therapy to help her get through the good and bad days. She hopes to inspire kids and teens worldwide to reach for their dreams no matter what you have. She always says that “no matter if you have an illness, disease, disability, or just a bad day you shouldn’t let that stop you from reaching your dreams”.

She is a very hardworking and dedicated 18 year old who remains an “A” student in all her classes. When she is not performing, having an interview, doing schoolwork, going to vocal class she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, shopping at her favorite stores, hanging out with her friends, longboarding, and just being a kind of normal teenager.
